Entry form for Diversity exhibition 2019

Conditions of entry:-

1. Each member is entitled to submit up to three works (or sets) per entry form. Fees for entry are $20 for 1 artwork, $40 for 2, or $50 for 3 artworks.

2. Work will not be accepted from non – financial members.

3. All work for exhibition must be brought to the Schoolhouse Gallery between 11am – 2pm on Wednesday 17th or Thursday 18th April 2019, unless by prior arrangement. 4. A completed entry form must be emailed to robin.7@bigpond.net.au no later than Thursday 18th April together with your non-refundable entry fee.

6. All artworks must be clearly labelled with the title, and the artist’s name.

7. The Tasmanian Ceramics Association does not accept responsibility for loss, damage or theft of entries whilst in transit or at the Schoolhouse Gallery. However all care will be taken in the handling of your work and gallery staff are on duty whenever the exhibition is open.

8. All work must be the original work of the exhibitor. It must be of a high standard and professionally presented.

9. There are no size restrictions on finished work within reason. Phone Schoolhouse Gallery if you are uncertain (03 6217 9625)

10. No work, after it has been accepted and exhibited at the Gallery, shall be removed until the close of the exhibition.

11. All submitted work is to be suitable for standing on a flat surface in a stable manner. Hanging or wall mounted work must have suitable fittings for display and not be excessively heavy. Phone Schoolhouse Gallery if you are uncertain (03 6217 9625).

12. The exhibition committee reserves the right to reject any works deemed unsuitable.

13. The works exhibited shall be for sale at the price indicated on the entry form unless the work is not for sale. A commission of 22% applies. Your selling price must include the 22% commission required by Schoolhouse Gallery.

14. The judges, independent arts and industry professionals, will select the winners based on the categories below.

15. The following prizes will be awarded for this exhibition:

Tasmanian Ceramics Association Award for Excellence – $600 (cash prize)

Derwent Ceramics Supplies Award for Functional Work – $250 (credit for ceramic materials)

Derwent Ceramics Supplies Award for Sculptural or Non – Functional Work – $250 (credit for ceramic materials).

Tasmanian Ceramics Association Highly Commended – $200 (cash prize)

Tasmanian Ceramics Association Highly Commended – $200 (cash prize)

Artery Award for Innovative Use of Materials or Technique – $50 gift voucher

Tasmanian Ceramics Association John Watson Award for Humour in Clay – $200 cash prize

Australian Ceramics Association People’s Choice Award – One year subscription to the Journal of Australian Ceramics – decided by popular vote and announced at the close of the exhibition.

16. Sold and unsold work to be collected during gallery hours 11.00 am to 5.00 pm Wednesday 22nd to Saturday 26th May.

NB. Please do not post photos of work on Social media Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or personal websites prior to Judging. All photos taken on behalf of the TCA of the work in the show become the property of the TCA to be used for promotional purposes at the discretion of the committee.
