Pit Firing and Raku Day. TAKE TWO

We have rescheduled our Raku and Pit Firing Day.

On Sunday the 2oth of July Anna Williams will be hosting the TCA’s Pit Firing and Raku day at her property “Southlea” just south of Hobart on the way to Kingston.

Time: 10 am start

Cost $40 members $55 non-members

Things to bring on the day:
1. Your pots
2. Paintbrush(s)
3. Your reduction bin
4. Overalls (or wear old clothes)
5. Lunch to share

There will be some pots available on the day for those who do not have a pot to fire.

John Watson will be in charge of the Raku on the day and John has prepared some notes for us which I have included at the end of this entry.

Anna Williams and Tom Hartley will be overseeing the Pit Firing.

Please direct your enquiries to Kim Foale via email on enquiries@tasmanianceramics.com or leave a comment here on the blog.

Numbers are limited so please book your spot (again) with Kim.

In case of bad weather John and Anna will make an executive decision on morning of the 2oth to either proceed or postpone. Bad weather is pouring rain or strong winds. A bit of drizzle wont stop us, we are potters.
